The total cost that has been allocated for waste processing from Germany reaches Rp 86 billion. – A Closer Look at German Fuel Producers of Waste Technology.
Modern German technology waste treatment equipment will soon be operating in Cilacap Regency, Central Java.
The sophistication of the tool that will become an Integrated Waste Management Site with Refuse Derived Fuel (TPST RDF) can process waste into alternative fuels with capacities of up to hundreds of tons. monitored the device being built near the landfill in Tritih Lor Village, Jeruklegi District, Cilacap Regency. Operator power has been prepared at the location of approximately 3 hectares.
Head of Waste Management, B3 Waste and Capacity Building in the Cilacap Regency Environmental Office (DLH), Hartono said, the RDF TPST is a form of cooperation between the Ministry of PUPR, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), the Central Java Provincial Government and the Cilacap Regency Regional Government .

“This RDF TPST has passed trials and according to its capacity can process 120 tons of waste per day. The result is RDF of 30 to 40 tons per day, water content has decreased from 57.60 to 22.75 percent in about 21 days with a calorific value of 687 kilo calories or kilograms, “Hartono said met on Friday (6/9/2019) .
Hartono explained, TPST RDF is waste processing which is then processed into alternative fuel for coal substitutes through counting and drying.
This is an effort to improve environmental quality while reducing the need for landfill landfills and can produce alternative fuels to replace coal fuel.
“This machine and electrical technology from Germany is a grant from the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark to KLHK which will later be donated to the Government of Cilacap Regency.
Broadly speaking, the waste processing here is basically processing domestic waste which was of various types and conditions wet, then the waste is processed into dry material and can be used as an alternative fuel to replace coal, and for the time being we are still working with PT Holcim which is now PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia (SBI), “said Hartono.
Not only that, the German tech machine is claimed to be friendly to scavengers who have been actively earning a fortune around landfills.
Even according to Hartono, through the processing of these tools will facilitate scavengers in earning a fortune.

“When they were still in the TPA area, they (scavengers) worked in the open and the PPE (personal protective equipment) was not standard. So it is vulnerable to diseases and work accidents.
“Now, with the RDF, we make a special hangar, and for the APD standard we will still make industry standards in general,” he said.
He scavenging activities, he continued, will be given the opportunity to take materials that still have economic value. After the scavenger activity is completed, new waste is then processed.
According to Hartono, all domestic waste will be able to be processed by the device which is said to be the only one in Indonesia.
The value of profit for Cilacap, ultimately there will be no waste at the TPA. That is, all the waste that enters the Tritih Lor TPA will be able to be processed all, because of the capacity of adequate equipment.
Based on the records of the Department of the Environment of Cilacap Regency, the amount of garbage entering Tritih Lor TPA ranges from 120-130 tons per day.
“The capacity is already operational (testing) 120 tons per day. But we have a machine whose specifications are 50 tons per hour. So when it can be maximized the ability of the machine to work, it can be 400 tons per day. And it can be maximized again to around 600 tons per day, “he said.
So, when can the device be fully operational? Hartono said that his party was still waiting for the submission of RDF news, which until now its status still belonged to KLHK.
“If it has been handed over, then we will process it fully here,” he said.
Hartono told, initially RDF assistance was an initiation from the Royal Government of Denmark through PT Holcim (now PT SBI) then to the Cilacap Regency Government.
“Actually, Denmark wants to help directly to the Cilacap Regency Government. However, because there are mechanisms between countries, so that it still passes (process) between governments, which in this case the Government of Indonesia is represented by KLHK.
So for now, this item belongs to the Government of Indonesia, in this case the Ministry of Environment and Forestry which is then handed over to the Cilacap Regency Government, “he said.
So, how much does it cost for operational equipment preparation to the place? Hartono said, the total cost allocated had been around Rp 86 billion.

the process began in 2016. From the first Cilacap Regency Government provided land, around 3 hectares. Then in designing tools and up to their utilization we involve PT SBI and related parties, “he said.
