Chrono Cross, the 90’s era game that was popular on the first PlayStation console, is certain to be present for the next-gen console. This role-playing game (RPG) is confirmed to be re-released (remastered) with the title Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition.
Square Enix, as the developer, confirmed that Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox One, and PC (Steam) on April 7.
Present as a remastered version of the game, this Chrono Cross game will bring a number of improvements, especially the visual aspect. Every model and character in the game will be packaged in HD resolution. Players are also free to choose to change the screen resolution, font, and background filter.
Other improvements will also be found from the audio aspect. In working on this game, it is confirmed that Square Enix will again recruit Yasunori Mitsuda, the composer of the soundtrack for the old Chrono Cross and Xenogears games.
In terms of gameplay, Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers will present at least 40 characters that can be invited to join groups during the game.
Square Enix will also implement a new feature that allows players to avoid fighting if they encounter monsters throughout the game. Players will also be made easier by the presence of an auto-battle option.
Interestingly, this game also has a variety of ending plots. So, players can get different endings, depending on the decisions made throughout the game.
Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers will be bundled with Radical Dreamer, a visual novel game first released on the Satellaviews platform in 1996.
PS4 console owners seem to have to be a little more patient because Square Enix still hasn’t opened an early order session on the console.
