But the research team from the cyber security company, Bitdefender released a list of 17 applications that use several tricks, to display advertisements that users do not want. The applications are also recommended to be removed from the cell phone. The total number of downloads of the 17 applications is said to reach 500,000. Reportedly 17 applications that use tactics such as displaying random ads and spreading their code in several files.
Although often get reports, Google is considered not able to improve the security of the Play Store, from developers who apply cheating as above. The ads that are displayed are indeed called harmless, but this tactic by the application developer resembles the way malware works. “They waited 48 hours before hiding their presence on the device, dividing application codes into various files, and delaying themselves to display advertisements up to 4 hours after the application was installed,” writes Bitdefender.
