The news writer can only just want to idly write the news and so that he or the party being reported becomes viral. Or maybe, the writer wants to make the public chaotic and make public opinion worse with the object being reported.

Seeing the many problems of hoax news that is happening in the community now, I want to give some tips so that it is easy for people to recognize hoax news and block it.
First, you have to be careful of provocative titles. Because a lot of news that gives a title that is full of sensation and wants to trigger a party to react. Usually thus news directly leads to those who want to be attacked. They usually take news from the official news portal and then change its contents to have a different perspective according to what the news maker wants.
To overcome this problem, when you encounter news with provocative title, search immediately on the official news page with the same title. Then, see the comparison of the contents of the two news, whether the same or different. That way you get a minimum of balanced news.
Secondly, check the address of the site that contains the news. For news obtained for websites or including links, check the URL address of the site. If it comes from a site that has not been verified as an official press institution – for example using a blog domain, the information is arguably dubious.
Then, check the facts in the news. Good news will include the source listed are authorized parties and not those who lack credibility. Pay attention to the balance of news sources, if there is only one source, the reader can’t get the whole picture. Also note that the news is based on facts or opinions. Facts are events that occur with testimonies and evidence, while opinions only contain opinions or impressions of the author telling so they tend to be subjective.
The, check the authenticity of the photo sent. In the current era of digital technology, not only text content can be manipulated, but also other content in the form of photos or videos. There are times when fake news makers also edit photos to provokes readers. The way to check the authenticity of photos can be by utilizing the Google search engine, by dragging and dropping into the Google Images search field. The search results will present similar images found on the internet so they can be compared.
Finally, take part in anti-hoax discussion groups. On Facebook there are a number of anti-hoax fanpage and discussion groups, such as Forum Anti Fitnah, Hasut, dan Hoax (FAFHH), Fanpage & Group Indonesian Hoax Buster, Fanpage Indonesian Hoaxes, and Grup Sekoci. In these discussion groups, netizens can join asking whether the information is a hoax or not, as well as seeing the clarification that has been given by others. All members can contribute so that the group functions like crowdsourcing that utilizes the power of many people.
How do we report the hoax that spreads on the internet. If you encounter hoax information, then how to prevent it from being spread. Internet users can report the hoax through the facilities available in each media.
For Facebook social media, use the Report Status feature and categorize hoax information as hatespeech / harrasment / rude / threatening, or other appropriate categories. If there are many complaints from netizens, usually Facebook will delete the status. For Google, you can use the feedback feature to report sites from search results if they contain false information. Twitter has a Report Tweet feature to report negative tweets, as well as Instagram. Then, for internet users you can complain negative content to the Ministry of Communication and Information by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org address.
Indonesian Anti Hoax community also provides data.turnbackhoax.id page to accommodate hoax complaints from netizens. TurnBackHoax also functions as a database containing hoax news references.
Of all the tips mentioned above, of course all also depends on our wisdom as users of internet services. If we already know that it is fake news, it does not cover the possibility that we can also spread the hoax news. However, all of us have a basic conscience, which we use to determine what is good and what is bad to do.
Remain careful in selecting news and always protect our families from the threat of hoax news.
