What category your 4G…..

Before talk about it and the next generation of it. We will talk about 4G Communication. 4G is next generation from 3G. The big difference is multiple frequency of carrier. In first 3 Generation have one specific carrier frequency. Time Based or Frequency Base is technology behind it. In 4G multiple frequency supported by MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology. This technology need more than one antenna. In 4G there are many category describe in picture. 4G category in world

In indonesia max in category 4 and 5 because limitation of free frequencies. Not much country have category 14 and 19.

In Germany implemented Cat.16 LTE in Oct 2017 and in Italy in Mar 2018. Demonstrated with vondafone as provider. In another just in cat 6 or 11. In cat 11 like Belgium (Aug 2017), Cyprus (Jul 2017), Hungary (Nov 2016). Technology upgrade consume more money in every step.

5G is reborn of High frequency transmission

5G is the same models with MIMO but in expert ways. in 4G some provider used frequencies below 6 GHz. In 5G use extremely high frequencies in the 30 GHz to 300 GHz range. High frequencies mean more fast to transmit and receive. Higher frequency transmissions have more bandwidth than lower frequency transmissions. With higher frequency transmissions promised more data to transmit. But this feature become benefit if transmission close with limit. Now cellular transmission near the boundaries, like browsing streaming, Internet of Things etc.

Higher frequency transmissions not warranty transmission quality in all areas. High frequency transmission devices can’t communicate from as great a distance as low frequency devices. HF band can communicate as far as 1,800 miles apart difference with high frequency transmission in less area. High frequency broadcasts are less susceptible to interference from electronic sources, while low frequency transmissions are less susceptible to interference from physical objects like walls that block communication.

Smart Antennas

5G still use technology of smart antennas. Smart antenna is transmit only for the requested client only. Antennas in common use technology like water. It will transmit to all area. Towers that fire data in all directions, potentially wasting energy.

5G also uses shorter wavelengths, which means that antennas can be much smaller. This mini antennas promised control of directional transmission. 5G will support over 1,000 more devices per meter.

5G networks will be able to beam ultra-fast data to a lot more users, with high precision and little latency.

High frequencies work only if direct line of sight (LOS) between the antenna and the device receiving the signal. What’s more is that some of these high frequencies are easily absorbed by humidity, rain, and other objects, meaning that they don’t travel as far.

This technology implemented with placed more antennas to support 5G, either really small ones in every room or building that needs it or large ones positioned throughout a city; maybe even both. There will also probably be many repeating stations to push the radio waves as far as possible to provide long range 5G support.

Switching Mode

Another difference between 5G and 4G is that 5G networks will more easily understand the type of data being requested, and will be able to switch into a lower power mode when not in use or when supplying low rates to specific devices, but then switch to a higher powered mode for things like HD video streaming.
